I just used spray basting for the very first time and loved it, happened to be Dritz and got it at Walmart.

    505 here as well.

However, as an aside, I still assist my spray basting with pins for larger projects. I don't know if it's needed, but it makes me feel better about the security of my project.

I'm a total fabriholic...please PM me if you are de-stashing!

I've always used 505 with good results but can't get it locally so just bought my first can of Dritz at Walmart. Haven't tried it yet. Hope I like it as much as 505 cause it is much easier to get.

I took an online FMQing class and the teacher made her sandwich using the spray and then she pressed the front and the back and she got the best looking results! I am going to try that next time.

I've used Dritz and 505 and I actually like the Dritz the best. It seems to hold better and it's easier to place the fabric and smooth out the wrinkles.

I baste and then add some pins for good measure, as well. I like the basting spray, but don't trust it not to come loose when I'm cramming my quilt in that little throat space on my machine.
