Silk/satin (of immitation thereof!) used for binding...anyone used it?
I am making a pink and white and black zebra print quilt.Turning out great with the blocks. But my daughter said it'd be really cool if I used silk or sating for the bindings instead of just cotton. Then she said.. "oh for the sashings too!".
Has anyone used satin/silk in a quilt before? I think it would look and feel great, but having never used either, not sure how it would sew or work with a quilt...and of course it has to be machine washable.
Any suggestions or comments?
