Default Now what? Quilt is done, but I'm not finished.

I love Kaffe Fasset materials and made this quilt for our guest room. To me, it doesn't look quite finished, and the only reason I pulled the quilt over the pillows is because there was enough length to do this. I don't want to have this as a permanent look.

There is material left over (a embarrassing amount), and I'd love some suggestions for what else I can do...cases? pillows? something unusual? Any ideas are most welcome, and I'd appreciate your help.

I'm not a great or terribly experienced sewer/quilter but will give anything a try.

Thanks in advance. Now what? Quilt is done, but I'm not finished.-quilt-resized-closer.jpgNow what? Quilt is done, but I'm not finished.-quilt-resized-view-2.jpg

I hope I actually attached the pictures!

I love this quilt! I love those colors. I would make pillow shams with the extra material. and maybe even bolster pillows too. Nice work!

If you are really not sure what to do with this quilt, you can box it up and send it to me! LOL What a lovely quilt, so pretty and bright, and if you aren't very "experienced" you certainly are on your way. You could do some solid color pillows?? I love just as it is, maybe you have been looking at it too long. It certainly is lovely.

    I agree, I think this quilt is stupendous!! My mailing address is: . . . . .
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

    WOW. LOVE it!
    Great job, happygram!
If I had extra fabric after this BEAUTY, I'd maybe consider an eclectic wall-hanging. It's really not needed, though. This quilt carries the room.
Colors of the Caribbean are my favs, this time of the year.
I really need to get off the exclamation point.
It may give people the idea that I'm bright and cheerful all the time....

Beautiful quilt. You could make window coverings, or small table runners for the night stands or you could also make a bed runner or cover your lamp shades along with the pillows, and wall hangings.

My first thought was a wall hanging. Your quilt is stunning!

That is just lovely. I think if you have all those colors in left over fabric I would make tons of different sized throw pillows to toss on the bed.
