I just pin in the four quadrants and use a blanket stitch to go around them.
Do use Magic Sizing before cutting them into circles, so when I give it a light press once I have it into position - it helps it stick a little.

I just spray basted mine and since they were cut out with pinking shears I just zig zagged around them.

I did not use a stabilizer. Because I sent the blocks to Blondie for quilting, I was afraid it would be too difficult for her to do the hand quilting through that additional layer. I used a zigzag stitch, but shortened it and narrowed it. They are really fun to do and it is a great way to use up scraps. Thank you again, Blondie for sharing this project with us!
To applique mine I used featherweight interfacing to the ends would turn under for me and used a smaller zig zag to attach to my block...works very nicely, also I spray starch mine as well..makes it easier to work with them and the featherweight interfacing is so thin you can see through it! Not hard to stitch at all!
Thanks for the info..........I had sewn one using zigzag stitch........then starting wondering if I should have done it another way. I used a little steam a seam to hold the circle in place.
