    It will vary. For example:
    If you are using a 5" charm, the original 9 patch should measure 14 x 14 . (3x5" - 1" for the seam allowances)
when you slice it a second time and resew it should measure 13 1/2 x 13 1/2 (unfinished).

I'm working on a 3 color D9P that started with 6.5" strips ( no pre-cuts) and a finished block is approximately 9". I will put a picture up next before I give it to DGD #4 next week or sooner if some would like to see WIP

Great job ladies. I was out walking clearing out of my head and doing some math while I was out there.I was coming up with 12".
Something told me to wait and post the question after my walk but No not Ann I wanted a answer waiting when I got back.I could have smacked my self in the head because once I was out there thinking about it I came up close to what you gals did.
Some days I listen to my self but most days I don't.Thanks again for the quick answer, I do appreciate the help. Hugs to you both.

    Hugs Ann
