How would you quilt this Fairy Frost quilt top for my soon to arrive granddaughter?

Oh I love fairys, that is so adorable. Sorry, but no suggestions on the quilting part from a beginner like me. This is just so awesome I had to comment.

I don't know what echo means? I love your quilt though, those fairies are darlings.

Lovely quilt, I would STID around the squares but stipple in the colours squares, that way the fairy blocks would be more pronounced.

If you outline a shape more than once, it is considered to be echo quilting. There are some examples on this site. Hope this helps.

Thank you. I collect fairies and since this baby isn't here yet it is was my chance to use them in a quilt. I think I am going to sandwich a few squares even though I don't have those colors left and see what it looks like. I really need to get this done. I don't want it to be too busy so I think I have to experiment.

I can't stipple, I have only done STD but wanted to try something more complicated with the stencil. I am just going to have to practice and see what looks best.

The white was a DD, the fairy frost charms were a huge sale at $6 a packet and they are normally $19.99 and have 54 squares each. I pulled out the purples, blues and pink. I have a lot of other colors left to practice on. I got the Minky for the backing on sale for $7.95 a yard. The binding fabric was $12. So I am thrilled at how much I saved. I love a good bargain. I had thread issues that are fixed now so this top has taken far too long. I want it done and waiting for that baby to come.

i think i would do a X in the solid blocks to keep the shape...keeping it more simple and not distracting from the beautifulME flowers..

Beautiful quilt. Love the colors, love the embroidery, it's just wonderful. I would SITD and keep it simple in the solid squares as to not take away from all the beautiful embroidery work.
