Question Twice the Charm 5 1/2" x 22" 15 piece And Charm pack Same Line

Jenny Beyer Twice the Charm pack 15 pieces 5 1/2" x 22" and a Charm pack 5" squares from the same Monochrome line... What would you do with them??

Can I make 9 patches that turn out 5" to match the charm squares?

Watched Tuts last night until I was dizzy -- nothing mentions those Twice the Charms *sigh*

    Please toss ideas!

    Thanks

I'm thinking that the only tut that MSQC has done with the Twice the charms has been for a table runner, but I may be wrong. If you cut each piece into 4, you;d have 4 - 5.5" squares. My mind isn't grasping what size you would need to cut them to make a 9 patch that would measure 5". If you cut each 5.5" square into 4 pieces and sewed with a scant 1/4 seam you might be able to make a 4 patch that measured 5". I'd try it on scrap fabric to be sure.

Yes Jean, so far I think Twice the Charm hasn't been "tutted" for a quilt yet!

Not like I don't have too many other charms, jelly rolls and layer cakes I can make use of -- Just thought I'd ask in case I missed one of the many great tutorials.

I bought them in a line also. But, not monocramatic. I plan to design my own rotary slice block of some kind. Like half of a "twice" and charms to fit... Something like that. Not sure yet, I like that you can use them together to make something like a "Brick Road" block perhaps. It'll come to me. Or Jenny will make a tut, whichever comes first. LOL

I think Disappearing 4 Patch may work with a 5-1/2" block. I may try that. Seems the best use rather than cutting off 1/2" and throwing it away to match up with charms. I like working with a little larger square for the kids quilts, especially if you are using cute kids prints that look better the more of the fabric design that you see..
