    I'll use the cheap stuff if I am trying out a technique for the first time. Then if I mess it up, I haven't ruined a nice piece of quilting fabric.
    I also prefer the heavier, tighter woven varieties for quilting. Coupons are the key to buying it at a decent price.

    I like Kona Cottons and the solids that are sold on the M*QC - I think it's called Bella.
