Default Sticky 505 on my cutting mat!

I used 505 to baste a bunch of FMQ practise sandwiches yesterday and I later put them on my cutting mat, picking off one at a time and using to practise. Today when I was going to use the cutting board I noticed it had batting fuzz stuck to it in large sections. I've tried washing it off but it sticks like ¤()/"#&"#. Any helpful tips or tricks?

I don't know if windex, rubbing alcohol, or purell will ruin your cutting mat, but I use them to get stubborn price stickers off of glassware. You might want to try one very small area before using it on the whole mat. I don't use basting spray because of all of my allergies so I've never experienced this problem. Good luck!

    Goo Gone might work.

Soapy water has always removed 505 over spray for me.

Could try a magic eraser and see it that works. I always put newspaper or freezer paper under what ever I am spray basting.

I agree with Karen. 505 Spray and Fix brand adhesive is a temporary adhesive that is water soluble, intended to wash out completely when you wash your quilts. Just try washing your cutting mat with a damp wash cloth dipped in sudsy water. Should work!

I had 505 overspray that I didn't clean right away. It took GooGone to get it off but it all came off.

I use a damp cloth dipped in warm water with a drop of Yes in it . It works great. You can also were it out by putting more and more lint on the spott and rubb of the lint with you finger. But it is time consuming.

Hope you get it of. I would not use nail remover on the cutting mat. Might not tolerate it.

I would not use any chemical based product....soap and water with a dishcloth should work fine. Just as the 505 is intended to wash out of your fabric so it should off your matt. Let us know what you do and how it works!
