Re: June Tailor shape cut ruler
I really want one of these rulers. I have to cut strips and 5" squares for my next 2 quilts and really hate that part of quilt making. I hope I can find a good sale or coupons when the time comes.

I received mine from Amazon last week, but haven't had a chance to use it yet! I'm glad it is working well for you.

What size did you get? I have the 12 x 12 which I love, but would really like to get the "pro" - the largest one.

Re: June Tailor shape cut ruler
I have the pro and it is my favorite ruler! Do hate when i have let others use it and they nicked the entry slot!!! The rotary blade can get stuck in there,So be careful and don't let just anyone use it
LOL.

I have just a few questions before seriously considdering shedding out the mucho dinero they will cost me:
Can I use them with my regular cutter or do I need a smaller/thinner one?
Do they move a lot when cutting? Seems in the video they lifted at the end of each cut and I worry that makes them move.
They seem way thinner than the rulers I have, isn't it easy to slip out of them when cutting?
I really want something that will help making cutting easier!
Oh and Pro or the regular one??
I am so glad you ladies are liking this ruler. I love it, too.
You use your regular cutter with this ruler. No need for anything else.
The ruler doesn't move much at all. I think they lifted the end in the video to show you the cuts they made underneath it. I don't lift mine until I am through cutting.
I started out with the 12 inch one, and just recently got the 18 inch one. The 18 inch one allows you to cut a lot more strips, but it is harder to handle because it is bigger. Nevertheless, it is the one I would recommend since you can cut more with it.
The plastic does get nicked with your cutter. Get an Exacto knife and use it to smooth off the nicks. It doesn't take much to do that.
I don't recall the cutter ever jumping the track on me. I guess it could, but it doesn't usually do it.
Consider getting the HST ruler, too. You will love that, too.
I am in the process of making log cabin blocks. It is wonderful to cut strips with it for the blocks.
I wish MSQC would carry these rulers.
