Joyce:Thank you for posting the info. It would seem from the way they advertised that it did have the capability to do 1/4" cut in a slot. If it can do it another way, then that is okay too. It probably won't show up here for another week and in the meantime I've been notified my first MSQC order is on its way. :icon_bigsmile:

You can do it with a cut in the slot, but you have to move the ruler over to the dotted 1/4 inch line to do so. For instance, if you want a 2 3/4 inch cut, you cut at the zero to make a straight edge. You move the ruler over to the dotted line and you cut at the 3 inch slot. What you have effectively done is removed 1/4 inch from a 3 inch strip. Not hard, but not as easy as cutting a three inch strip. I just didn't want people to think there was a slot every fourth inch.

Coupon for J's and it was $18.00!! Just got mine (the pro size) but haven't used it yet. I'm very excited to hear it doesn't slip and will help make the 1 part of quilting I'm NOT good at go faster and hopefully more accurate hahaha

Thanks for posting this! I thought I read on another thread they had bought a 1/4 ruler and when I went to Amazon I couldn't find it. You solved the mystery :)
