l've got a question RE: prairie points...
l've got a question RE: prairie points...
Can l make my 3 inch white border and attach the prairies point to that and sew the whole lot on at the same time or do l have to wait for the actual top to be quilted (which might not be for awhile as l'm buying a quilt kit)...l've watched numerous videos on you tube about prairie points ...so l know how to make them.

Yes. You would sew them in before quilting it

I would sew the borders on first and then add the pp's. That way you can get an exact fit with the points. I think it would save yourself a headache and time in the long run to put the borders on first.

l was hoping to add the PP and then the 2 .1/2 inch border behind the PP and have them rest on top of the border

I see no reason why you can't do what you are wanting to do. I think it sounds like it is going to be wonderful. Maybe someone will chime in to tell us both why this wouldn't work. It sounds like it would work just fine, to me.

I have done this and pinned all the PP to top and then sewn border strip on top of that, all in one step. Just went slow and checked as went along. Came out just fine. When I put PP as the binding, I do that after quilting.

Lisa, I thought you were going to use the points as your binding. What you explained in your last post will work just fine. Barb
