Default Jean, I think I need your help?

I saw the quilt that you made for Sally. I love it. I just ordered the crackle JR last night. It is the perfect fabric for my hubby and the living room. I have until July to finish this quilt once I start. I have a problem.

I bought one Jelly Roll. I want to make this pattern, Piece Out. I do not want a queen size in my living room. I am new to quilting so the best I can say is that the JRR is the perfect size. So I am asking you can I do the piece out pattern with just one JR and maybe a wider Border to make it the size I want?

    Please help? Jean? Anyone?

Lisa, my jelly rolls only had 20 strips in them, and I had a bunch left over. This ended up being pretty close to a good size lap quilt with the borders and sashing. I'm pretty sure you could do a lap with one jelly roll. You get 6 blocks from 3 jelly roll strips. So if you use 39 jelly roll strips, you'll have 78 blocks, just short by one half of a block to do a 4 by 5 array. Can you find 2 more jelly roll strips to throw in there so you can make 40 blocks, and then you can have a quilt 4 blocks wide by 5 blocks long, roughly 48 by 60. If you add borders, you can make it a little bigger.

The crackle Jelly Roll comes with 42 strips. I am waiting until it arrives to pick the colors for the border, center square and bindings.

Thank you so much, I feel so much better now. I was hoping I could do this with one Jelly Roll and I can.

Did you know you are my quilting hero?

    Thanks again!

Thank heaven for 42 strip jelly rolls! Now you can make a very nice quilt. It's wierd that the DD changed from Crackle to the monkeys sometime during the night! I love monkeys, and had to buy that layer cake! But I had to look at your Crackle and it looked very enticing! Hope your quilt turns out well!

It did? Well, that explains why I never saw the Crackle DD. Thought I had lost a day somewhere. But, maybe Blondie found it for me!
