I would guess that if you are making the top with very few seams you might be able to get away with no batting.

Remember to prewash & dry your flannel before using it in your quilt. That stuff shrinks both directions!

This quilt couldn't fit any more seams lol It's a stacked coin. I bought a printed flannel so I do want to use it on the back. I have a little bit of warm and natural so I guess I'll make a little sandwich with the left overs and see how I like the weight both ways. The girl at the shop reminded me to wash it too Thanks!
