Hey Bella,
You know that border distracted me from seeing the kids playing in the fabric. One of the kids has a striped PJ's, and another a check shirt so maybe that is why the print takes away? I like the solid Black inner border. Do you have a stripe or maybe a red or tan solid for the 2nd?
Just tossing thoughts out!

I 2nd the black border.
I also 2nd a solid for that 2nd quilt.
I'm a total fabriholic...please PM me if you are de-stashing!
I would say a solid is better.
I like it just as it is - the first one has a solid orange border - at first I couldn't tell the difference - I think they are both perfect!!!

I like the black bordered one. The corners on the other one I find distracting.

Dear Bella,
I also like the black boarder, but I think, as a second boarder you need something more colourful, it seems the orange patternd boarder takes away the inner colour. Maybe a clear strong red would let the quilt shine. (I don`t know how to better express).
Does it go better with your mother? Sorry, I was not here the last days and could not follow, but you are always in my mind.

I like the black border. It frames and draws attention to the center nicely. Cute fabric.

I also like it just as it isVery cute. I had to look close to realize the argyle's were different and not just inner borders.
To quilt or not to quilt?.....what a ridiculous question!
