I am too! I think the hardest part is lining up the fabric before cutting it out. Someone here posted one recently.
whats that?

Her's an example and how to do it.

There ya go....
Jean beat me to it! ...and there is a tutorial.....
I started one of those a long time ago but didn't get very far. It was very time consuming. I still have all the pieces somewhere. Maybe some day when I'm bored and have nothing else to work on, I'll get it back out and try again.
Is this what you mean ?

My daughter did a table runner as a Christmas gift that was a kaleidoscope pattern. Here is a picture of it. They really are not hard, they are actually kind of fun to do.

I really love kaleidoscope quilts! I am a newbie, but I guess I really like a challenge :) I found the Fons and Porter Shadow Play pattern and am currently attempting to do it. I I have several of the blocks together without the final corners, but have laid it out to see what it is going to look like. I really kind of like it - even though not all of my middles line up properly! :)Attachment 38040
I finished a kaleidoscope similar to the one at this web site but used a large turquoise, pink, shades of purple and greens. https://www.wnynetworks.com/labfabri...scope+Quilting.
Sorry I can't post a picture all I have is my iPad. The most difficult part I found was matching 8 layers with pins then cutting thru 8 layers making sure your fabric doesn't shift. After it was all cut out it was really fun sewing together because each block came out different. The pattern I used was for a queen size and is waiting to go to LAQ to finish.
I just bought a pattern from Nancy's Notions that came with a kaleidoscope ruler. I have been thinking about doing one. I did do one block once many months ago. I just thought it took a lot of fabric.

That style quilt is one of those someday quilts for me. They are beautiful.
One of the technique books and rulers I received in the mail this week is the Kaleidoscope from Marti Michell. I bought the larger ruler but thinking I'll get the smaller one also, I've read thru the book and it definitely makes it easier
Marti Michell explains it well in her videos here:

You can also use Bethany Reynolds "Stack N Whack" technique to make kaleidoscope quilts.
I also have Marti Michells book / ruler, another quilt on my to do list .....I so love the way they look.
Oh, and remember, once you start thinking of trying kaleidoscope or stack and whack, keep your eyes peeled on the specials tables for striped fabric. I tend not to use the wide floral stripes in quilts, bit too much like cheating with panels, but for this they're perfect. Especially for your first attempt, rather than cutting your wedges from pieced strip sets and having seams to match up, the stripe does all the work for a really effective block. I know I have a few metres of a very pretty chocolate with roses stripe there, I think the stripes are about 3" wide. That'll be a kaleidoscope for sure!!
Cheers, Pami
