Re: Fabric question
I used to use piece yardage for my backs but have found it to be way too expensive. I have purchased cotton flat sheets for the backing because you can usually get them on sale. I do find that here in Ontario, Canada the quilts shops are way over priced for fabrics. We usually pay $15. per meter for fabrics. We have Fabricland, but they are very limited on what they have. I can never get coordinating fabrics once you find a fabric that you like. So its not very quilting friendly. I made a queen size quilt when I first got back into quilting I guess about 4 yrs ago. From a quilt shop, the total amount for the quilt fabric was $470.00, then it cost me $300.00 to have it quilted. So its crazy what we pay up here. That's why now I purchase everything online because it is cheaper even paying the shipping from the US. So you really have to do your homework for cost. Anyway I've rambled enough. Your quilt is very nice, I love the bit of red you used for the inner border.
