Default Scrap Buster! Make Easy Table Runner Using the Binding Tool!

I have watched the MSQ video of the Scrap Buster! Make Easy Table Runner Using the Binding Tool!

My question is if i want to make it larger i know i could add inches on to the length of the strips but how does it work for the large square which is in the middle & the little squares that go on one end of one side strip

As i like this i figured length is not a problem just keep on doing it, & if it was only a small increase in with could possible just make the border wider but it i wanted to do a much larger project

So any help would be very appreciated
    Hugs Janice

    Hi
I havnt been quilting very long but what i would be tempted to do is..
Depending on how long you want it.
make the original square in the middle . sew maybe 6 or 7 rows of strips on each side , add a new square and then more chevrons , thus extending it to however long you want it ..

The sides of the large square in the middle are the same length of the long side of the binding tool. If you cut your strips longer, then it appears the sides of the square will need to be the same length of the long side of your strip. For example, if you cut your strips so that the long side of the strip is 10 1/2", then the square will need to be 10 1/2" too. It appears the 2 1/2" squares would stay the same as long as your strips are 2 1/2" wide.

Before you make the larger one, you might want to do a test run. You could even cut a larger square and longer strips from paper and lay them out to test it.
