Did anyone visit their local quilt shop. I did with my friend and we had a good time. I also spent $50. I bought some fabric to make a table runner and also some fabric to make my grandson two pillowcases.

Oh, yeah. I got 2 jelly rolls, thread, 12 fat quarters, 3 batik 6 inch strips for the monthly block and some Kona black. I left many things behind but went way over budget. I love sales. Jelly rolls for 20...

I did! The four members of our quilt group (the other four opted to spend winter in warmer locations) visited our LQS before we stopped for lunch and our weekly meeting. We all added to our stashes and enjoyed the company of the owner and her Mom. We even receive a fat quarter since we braved the frigid weather! It was a very good day.
Tomorrow, MSQC, gotta save my pennies for that shopping trip!
I go to my LQS about every other week. Have to support the local business.

I work to support a sewing habit that I don't have time for, because I work!
Yep I did - Found a shop I'd never been into - They mostly make Home Dec then the owner had to say "OH, by the way we have some great quilting cottons on the back wall from $1.50/$2.99/yard"... Gosh I just posted yesterday I need to Stop buying and get more sewn up of stash *sigh* that lasted ONE day! Well $35.00 later I have some beautiful prints now... and in my behalf, there were 14 that signed up for my Pay it Forward so I cut and am sending out over 3 bolts worth of solids :-) a Win Win!

RIP Bonnie (18) December 2014 We had 10 loving years before you went to see your previous Meow-Mom - tell her I love you too!

I only buy quilt fabric at our small independent shops. If you don't shop there, they won't stay open!
Well, even the best laid plans of mice and men . . . no, I didn't, although I would much rather been at M*QC than at Jo-Anns to take my HQ Viking in for a thorough medical exam. So, since I was there I did purchase several things - Wonder Under (anyone guess why???????), and muslin . . . a few remnants . . . and something SWEET!
I would much rather give my $$ to a local business but it just wasn't in my cards today.
BTW I did spend a bit over $20 last night at my Disabled Veteran's Admin Red Racks store and came home with about 50-60 yards of wonderful fabric yardage . . . plus quite a few hand-pieced bow-tie blocks (enough for a lap quilt), and a couple mini-quilts that are already pieced.
Be warned. I am BORED.
This could be dangerous.
When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
They are usually 90 degrees.
A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??
Wonder Under (anyone guess why???????) - waving hand wildly, yelling "I know I know!!!!!"

I bought Muslin today but am shopping at my LQS tomorrow as they are having a reduce inventory sale prior to inventory....so they will get some of my hard earned cash tomorrow!
