Default Beautiful Block, haven't a clue as how to create it!

HI Everyone, I found this block, I have created a beautiful quilt, but I haven't a clue as how to construct the darn thing. I have looked at paper piecing and it wont work for that, The only thing I can think about is construct it like a log cabin.. but in some ways that wont work.. any ideas. EQ calls it Feburarys Finest. Cant find that name anywhere.. here is a picture of the block.

I would construct it like a Delectable Mt. Block. Hope that helps.

wow...that's pretty. It looks like, except for the 4 center triangles on the sides, you could just make strip sets of cream/blue, & cream/gold(brown). how big is the block? It looks like you could do this easily with a jelly roll (I mean just using 2.5" strips) & adding set in triangles on the 4 side centers
I think I may have seen this b4.....I'll do some internet hunting ....

I said the same thing when I saw this, How in the heck do you do that? I think I figured out how.

Got it--make sub parts then connect it together with the center strip
Blue with white HST end, then brown with HST end and white cornerstone--first part
opposite brown with HST end, sew to full white triangle. Connect these two pieces together.
Sew this to Blue with HST end and white cornerstone. Makes one subset.

    Make the other three subsets.
Connect two subsets together with a brown and long white strip. Do this with the other two subsets.
Connect these two parts tobether with a long strip--long white, short brown, white cornerstone, short brown, long white.

I think that connects them all without any wierd seams, y seams, half sewn seams.

    See if it works.

Do you have measurements? We could try it if we knew measurements.

Thanks, jingleme, for finding out the other name for this and more so for finding the pattern to make it. I love it and want to include it in a quilt. Piece and blessings, Vicki

No,I have no clue what that is. The Mexican star is simpler, I can figure that out right away. Besides that one came with directions. It really is pretty.
