I was watching Jenny's video for this quilt and if I am figuring correctly I should be able to get a double sized bed quilt from one layer cake and one jelly roll, plus a border. Has anyone made this pattern? Am I correct?

I don't know but it is in her magazine....let me check, I watched the video but she didn't really say what size it ended up being...be right back!
According to the magazine (called a Jelly Basket) it requires a full size batting...however it calls for 36 (10") squares, she doesn't mention a jelly roll here...just list yardage but a Jelly roll should work, each strip makes two blocks and you would only need 18 strips for the 36 blocks...the rest you could use for your inner border or perhaps make a piano key border...than additional yardage for the outer border and the backing...hope this helps
here is my jelly cake!! :D made it when the tute first came online .... cut from yardages but it sure was quick easy and fun :)
Thanks for checking for me. I'll look at the magazine and see what I think. I wish her tutorials said what size the quilt ends up being.
Yes, you are correct. I have one in my album. Barb
Thanks for the help everyone! I just looked at the magazine. For some reason, I forgot that it was in there. It says completed size is 81 x 89. Should be plenty big enough. Now I am anxious to start it, but I need to finish what I am working on first.
Isn't that always the way...I have a jelly roll and a layer cake that I bought last year just for this pattern and they are still in their original packaging....haven't gotten to it yet...sure do want to though...just too much going on right now...I am just as busy now as I was last month....this is just crazy!
