    I lay out my quilts and stretch a length of different colors of thread across it and then choose. I find in doing this I can tell which ones look the best with the quilt.

    Wow, this quilt is just gorgeous!!! I love it.

    At first I thought a purple thread would be nice but I think grey would be a good match too.

    They also make a fishing line type thread that will blend in with all the colors. I can't remember what it is called...

    I agree with grey. Grey and sage green seem to be the two that I find blend in the best with just about any colors.

    Stunning quilt, I like the others would use the grey in the top thread, and since your back is going to black, maybe use black in the bobbin.

    But do be sure and test it out on a piece of scrap fabric, if you can the same fabric you used in the quilt top, and make sure that the bobbin thread and the top thread are the same weight of thread.
