Default A quilt top made with just charm packs?

Okay, now I'm having second thoughts. I have my materials, 2 printed charm packs and 2 solid white charm packs. I was originally going to make the Whirlygig's quilt but don't know if I want to do that anymore or not. LOL

Here's the Whirlygigs quilt so you know what it looks like.

I'm looking for a quilt top that I can make with just the charm packs that I have if possible. I'm looking to make a lap size quilt, and was hoping to get some of your opinions on what I should make.

    Thanks

And, so what is wrong with that pattern? I think it is perfect for a couple charm packs!! Just quit second-guessing and jump in with both feet!! GO FOR IT!!

    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

I like the "Whirlygigs quilt"--I think it is cute from charm packs. Pinwheels would also work. Just cut them diagonally in half and sew them together. Easier but not as different as the whirlygigs. There are books for just charm packs if you want to use one of those. I don't know if your library would have it but you could request it. If I knew the name and author I would let you know but I am not at home at the moment.

CJ, What charm packs did you get? The whirly gig would be great, but 1/2 square triangles would be great to!!!

I ended up getting the Moonstruck Charm Pack and then just plain white charm pack.

Also I just noticed the moonstruck charm pack only has 28 squares each instead of 42 (whoops).

So, lol yeah. That kind of sucks. lol

I think it will work out ok - here's an idea - if you decide to do the 1/2 square triangles and you don't think it will be big enough - get some yardage in a solid that you like the most and frame out each block in that color? What ya think?

    (i.e. pinwheels)

Yeah, I've thought about buying a jelly roll of a solid color when I get the blocks finished if I want it bigger and put sashing around each block and stuff.

    Thanks.

I was just looking at the blue swirl pindot - that would be gorgeous - I sense you are a little blue......
