I really need to get off the exclamation point.
It may give people the idea that I'm bright and cheerful all the time....

Looks good to me. Love the fabric. Gotta remember our granny's and great granny's made there own templates for everything. That being said I am glad you made your own template.

Love it! Let us see the completed quilt. Pretty fabric.
Should I stir things up and say I think you went in the wrong direction?
Too Bad, cause I can't. It's going to be be-you-tee-ful!
Quilter's Rules:
#1 Buy fabric - no matter how much you already have.
#2 Sew all day and all night - no cooking allowed.
#3 Start a new quilt before the last one is finished - must return to #1.
Just my preference, mind you, but I would put the two heavier teal green blocks opposite each other diagonally---that is if you haven't already sewn these together. It would balance the quilt a little better, I think. But then, what do I know. That way your other two cornerstones can be opposite diagonally of each other too. Just a little different set-up, is all. Try it out to see if you like it. Now, you did a great job with the half hexi template. I used to make all my own templates out of cereal boxes or that template plastic material. I even used paper sometimes. LOL The things we do when we don't have much money. I wanted the money I had in those days to go to the fabric I wanted to sew with---as much as I could afford. Enjoy your quilt!! Piece and blessings, Vicki
I haven't already sewn them (I'm not even done cutting the hexagons yet), I just just laying them on the table to snap a quick picture.
I love that! I just got the half-hexie and can't wait to use it, but working on UFOs at the moment. I'm looking forward to seeing your finished quilt!
I really like that fabric
2013 = God's continued grace, healthy friends and family, and many wonderful sewing projects![]()
