Put the sashing on the side to make your rows. you then add long piece to bottom of the first row. Try to keep your seams consistent. After you have the long piece sewn on, take your second row, with right sides together and line up the seams on the sashing, starting in the middle. The repeat for the next rows. Hope this helps.
