ok so I'm going to be making my first quit...and its a rag quilt...and I have seen lots of tutorials but none tell me what I want to know...and its kinda a math question (subject I failed in) so here it goes
I have 1 yrd of fabric I'm centering this quilt around (really cute with lil tigers and monkeys) and I have a 6.5 inch cutting block so my question is...how many squares am I going to get with a yard? and how much more material will I need to buy...its for my lil girl so it can be small but I want it bigger than a baby quilt (I really don't know sizes) and I was wanting to do a solid color back (not the same back and front) should I buy a yard of each of my other materials? or just 1/2. should I buy 3 more yards of material or just 2? I really don't know what I'm doing!
