Default So many quilt blocks, so many names

How do you keep them straight???

I've seen several quilt blocks called 3-4 different names but they all have the same amount of blocks and layout. How do you keep up with which block is what?

Right now I'm using a file folder system with notes, measurements and pictures of the blocks as I find ones I'm interested in but I keep seeing repeats of the blocks by another name..

So, how do YOU keep up with them??

Pretty much the same as Karen. I have no method to my madness. Since I make a lot of quilts for the PICU I tend to stick with simple, go together quick patterns.

Lol, so I'm the only idiot trying to keep track??? Must be my OCD. I tend to "collect" things and I'm afraid ill see one and not remember it later or it won't be there. So, what if you want to remake a particular pattern? Do you mark your quilt or do a sample so that you'll know what it is for future reference or is that just me over thinking things again???
Of course right now I have enough stuff in my head for 20 quilts and then some!!

ohh I know I'll forget them so can't try to remember lol! But have too many bookmarked, and Jenny's tut's when I get ready to move onto whatever is next.

Guess you got to just pick one, do it then grab the next one in your folder, brain or list

What are you working on now?

I have 4 of my 10 rows sewn together and have my sashing sewn onto the other 6 rows, now just need to finish them up, sew the rows together and bind it.

I have a pictorial album of blocks.. those I have made and really like. I've done a tutorial for the the ones I had to figure out a different size and put them on my blog, But there just isn't any way to keep track of all the ones I like and want to do.

I too love to browze and book mark alot of New (to me) stuff for a "someday" project.
