Just my 1.5 cents worth - I agree with lines inside the points of the stars and maybe several rows of echo quilting around the outside edges of the star (on the white) . To make it pop out. ..if you do lines in the points, looks like you'll have to change threads as I don't think you want black on your red points. I love the mousey fabric, it's too cute! As this is for a child, I'd suggest flannel backing as,is softer. As the print is busy, I think a meandering would be nice too... Perhaps try both Mickey ears and meandering on a sample block and see how it,goes. If you can't find dotted fabric for the backing, stars would be nice too ..Your points are perfect ...this is a great job done, all your sewing is nice and professional looking.
