Default Advice for a sampler quilt..

    Hey everyone

I am currently making a sampler quilt for a teenage girl . The fabric resembles Cath Kidston patterns but a whole lot cheaper
I will be sashing in plain white .
What id like to know is how you guys would quilt it ?
As each block will be different i dont want to just go all over it with a meandering wiggly line , like i did on my last quilt ..I just want to brain storm you all and see if anyone has made a sampler quilt and what quilting did you use ?
Ive added a few blocks i have made so you can see what im talking about ..
    Pics appreciated !

how far along are you in fmq? How about an all over design like swirls and hearts, or flowers and vines? Ive never a sampler quilt but i think that would be cute for a teenage girl. I agree stippling gets boring fast! Love fabrics btw!

Echo quilting of each pattern might looks good on a sampler. I believe Angie did a sampler with a different FMQ design in each block.

I think the echo would look the best but prolly take more time.

If you're really comfortable with FMQ you can stick to one pattern for the sashing and borders, and then do a different FMQ pattern for each block. Leah Day has at least 365 different patterns to choose from

I did a sampler with jewel tones and black sashings & border and just used an all over stipple - turned out great!
    Happy Quilting!

I think the quilt again will choose what will be quilted on it lol
Ive tried pre thinking quilting and it never works for me !
I like the idea of ghosting each block and maybe add a patterned quilting on the borders and sashing ..
Could be fun ! ( or im going to go grey trying ) ... Oh wait.. I am grey ! ( under the dye )

Echo quilting for the blocks and a swirl or flower/vine for the sashing and borders?
