Can you help me design a baby quilt around this?-223702306462749177_qwwrom1c_c.jpg

Not only can I not think of fabrics to go with it...I can't even think of a pattern. It's for a baby girl due in March...and her father is SET on that fabric.

Also a concern of mine (with this particular fabric)...is going with too many solids, thus resulting in a flat quilt.

Thanks (And sorry for all of the posts recently).

First, never, never be sorry for posting on here. Whether it is showing off (show and tell), asking questions, giving suggestions, or puzzling over day to day affairs. That's what we're here for.

Okay, Papa will probably name this demure little girl something like Fred, or Donald, or Zeus --- but I would do a disappearing 9 patch and do it only in blues and greys and black. You know what - throw in some of that blue for sashing and a lot of white just to off-set things. No one ever wrote in stone that girls could only have pinks and no one ever said that if a girl had blue she would be a tom boy . . . who cares?
    Be warned. I am BORED.
    This could be dangerous.

When you get cold just go stand in the corner.
    They are usually 90 degrees.

A giraffe's coffee would be cold by the time it reached the bottom of his throat.
Ever think about that? No? You only think about yourself??

They are naming her Jordan (I'll keep my thoughts on the name to myself), she is the 2nd child, their other daughter, Sierra, is the cutest most polite little peanut. I can't believe she is going to be a big sister!

Anywho, I didn't mean to imply that girls can't have blue things. I just meant with that type of print....that I was having issues picking fabrics because I want it to have some movement. (FWIW, I actually LOVE that fabric, and I'm not a big sports fan).

I'm rambling, but I didn't mean to come off so rudely. My apologies!

What about some stripes, polka dots, checks or simple turquoise (or the shade of blue in the fabric) flowers........something with a white background to lighten it some. You could also add some turquoise block....solid or with a white print. Polka dots or bubbles would make it look more girlish. Maybe mix 4 " blocks and 2' blocks together in the quilt for more variety. I made a baby quilt awhile back and mixed block sizes. Here's a link to the picture.

JAYZEE. It looks to me, that a quilter DID NOT design this fabric!
You may me able to eek out a 2.5" border, but you may very will cut out the logo with a 1/4" seam...
This is tricky, no doubt. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
I really need to get off the exclamation point.
It may give people the idea that I'm bright and cheerful all the time....

oh my , crazy papa. lol

If it were me I would fussy cut the whole thing where the words went around the whole thing for sashing, maybe with white sort of like the piano key. Then for all the tigers do some sort of patch work with other colors.

Can't wait to see what you do!

    Oh sorry. panthers.
