Bought /bid on material for me.... It is old material, cotton, woven and only has color on one side. The picture is just one example of the many pieces. My question is this what type of material is it and what could be the age of the material. It's not real important just wanting to know. I have washed it all but before i did i surged the edges of it so it wouldn't fray. Well on one piece i forgot one edge and it really didn't fray like i thought it would. I am going to make a 9 patch block with cream with these.

any help would be appreciated
