    Question singer machine

    ok so i have the opportunity to purchase this machine...i see alot of you all have machines similar....it is said to work great and have all the parts but i dont know....i do know that my newer singer doesn't work great for me......so my question is.....IS THIS A GOOD MACHINE TO purchase??? What should i be looking for with it? anyone know anything about this singer??? Please let me know..THANKS oh. and asking price is 200.00 singer machine-wp95001139.jpgsinger machine-wp95001141.jpg

    What will you be using it for? Primarily piecing or both piecing and quilting? If you plan on using it for quilting I don't recommend that model, get one with a larger throat so you can fit larger quilts underneath it (like a Singer 201-2).

    I agree with Katie - look for something with a much larger throat space. I also think that $200 for this machine is WAY out of line. Would be interested in the serial number and then I could help you more. Can you get that number - it should be on the very front of the machine, on the base at the right side.
