I went to Ikea and bought a tabletop and two legs and on the other end, I bought one of their wired basket (the white ones) filing type cabinets. Rulers and other things I use are in the top drawer, misc stuff in the next and fat quarters in the bottom....oh, I think that one has four drawers. My other one has three drawers, two normal and one large and that has my jelly rolls in it.
pat.

Well, crap! Machine came and for a day and a half she was fabulous. Then I broke her. Now she is at a local dealer awaiting a fix. I was told 3 weeks before she is ready to come home. I'm so disappointed and depressed. At least I still have my f600.

Oh dear, that's such a shame! Can you share what happened so us other newbie Juki owners don't repeat it?

Sure. The ring dohickey broke on the presser foot thingamajiggy. LOL! Actually the snap ring was off of the presser foot tension control. And they sent me an email that it is ready to pick uo. I think they just like to scare us with the multiple week repair scenario.

Re: Juki TL2010Q
Right now I am pretty ticked off at mine. Everything has been finr up until a couple days ago. I did some practicing and decided to start the baby quilt that I keep putting off. All works okay on practice sandwichs but on the quilt the thread keeps shredding. I have been through every scenerio. Bobbin changes, rewinding bobbin slower, change needles, different size needles. Changing thread. Clean the whole dang thing start over. Tension seems fine, but okay changed that up 5 million times. Sometimes I can get through a whole straight row, or even a small section of loopy eights, then shredding. Other times it only goes about 10 inches and starts shredding.
I am so mad. I love this machine. It was doing perfectly fine since January. I have done nothing different. Aarg!!! It cost 99 dollars just to bring it in. It is not even a year old and I have not done that much on it. I piece on my babylock.
Okay rant over, tomorrow calling dealer where I purchased it. Glad I am working overtime.
Maube they have a class and I can skip the 99 dollars and find out what is wrong in class. Its got to be the user, and crap thats me.

Karen,
I am going through the same thing. Even with thread by different manufactures. Using different needle types and sizes. The shredding seemed to start out of the blue.
If anyone has a clue, I would love the hear.

Pat, I would love to see a picture of your table set up. I need another table and looking for something a little customizable.

I came across this site a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if it will help with the thread fraying but I usually use a top stitch needle for fmq and I've never had a fraying issue.

I switched the needle to a Topstitch 14/90 and the fraying stopped. I had tried universal and microtex without success. Thank you so much!
