Re: new member
Welcome Dawn ! Of course there's a lot of help here on the forum....any time you have questions just ask any time.
Each week Jenny Doan does a video tutorial to show us how to make a quilt or another project sometimes !!!
Here's this week's tutorial from Jenny !! .....Enjoy !

Also, MSQC ( Missouri Star Quilt Company ) has a Daily Deal each day.......a special sale......which might be a sale on a charm pack, or a layer cake or notions or fabric etc...you just never know what the Daily Deal might be sometimes !
Here's today's Daily Deal.

There's so many experienced quilters here willing to help those of us who are learning to quilt. ( I have been sewing since 1978, but I am a beginner when it comes to quilting.) My suggestion as far as learning is to start making tote bags and table runners and then maybe lap quilts or baby quilts.
Here's the tutorial for the tote bags ( one charm pack makes 3 tote bags )
https://youtu.be/S7i6Wrl4rZ8
Here's a table an easy table runner Jenny shows us how to make a as a Fall table runner and a Christmas table runner as well.
https://youtu.be/NpCrxbr9hjE
Here's another table runner as well.

Of course, I am sure there's a lot of other members who will give you lots of info too ! Good Luck and Welcome from Michigan here in the U.S.A. !!
I started out watching Jenny's videos, and trying to make some of her "easy" quilt blocks, such as the nine patch, disappearing nine-patch, garden flower, etc. Of course Jenny makes almost everything she does look "so easy" LOL !
One more thing.......Here's a list of tutorials that a forum member ( Karen McEuen ) has compiled for us that you might like to look at : ( Thanks Karen ! )
