Hello, everyone!
Like many of you, I "stumbled" upon the wonderful YouTube tutorials and before I knew it, I had pieced together a "Falling Charms" quilt...simply from watching a video!
I am married, in my early 50's and I retired last year after working nearly 25 years in computer programming and project management. I spend a lot of time each week caring for my wonderful mom, who lives in assisted living. My main hobby is counted canvaswork (ie, needlepoint). I am currently working on my teacher certification (from the National Academy of NeedleArts), so that I can teach my own canvaswork designs at regional and national seminars. It will be a couple more years before that happens.
In the meantime, I am quilting up a storm, making quilts for family and friends. I probably favor modern quilts to historic/traditional quilts. Perhaps because a lot of historic quilt patterns seem to have LOTS of LITTLE pieces that take a lot of time. I like to make quilts fast!
Did anyone make the "Elevations" mystery quilt? Is the pattern (picture) available somewhere?
Happy stitching,
Becca
