All the news related to the refugee situation in Europe is so heart-breaking. For those who have already lost their home, savings, friends and more,...
I'm still not entirely sure how it happened, but I ended up at the youtube channel and watched several tutorials. After the ragdoll quilt though I had to drive to joann's get their last 2 charm packs, batting, and flannel backing and try it myself. (Last minute on a Saturday no less.) I think it turned out ok.
Now I'm busily cutting more squares to work quilting into my usual upcycled project list. A ragdoll quilted (no batting, single layer??) soft cotton, wrap skirt sounds like it would be just too much fun not to try.
Normally, I scout through second hand stores for shirts that are mostly fine but have enough spots or worn bits they won't do anyone any good as a shirt, and pull them apart for their soft cotton fabric to make into new clothes. =^.^=
The ragdoll baby quilt was my first quilt ever.
