I am now retired, but when I worked, I had a variety of different jobs, but all with the theme of teaching. I started as 4th grade elementary school teacher, and I held that position for 9.5 years. After a short time of being a stay at home mom, I had to go back to work, and my first job was as the director of a nursery school and day care center. That was for about 3 years. After that, I worked for the US Department of Agriculture for 2 years, where I administered USDA farm programs for county farmers. I went on to work for an employment agency for 2 years, and then worked for a healthcare management company for 9.5 years. I started as an Office Manager and ended as Director of Training. Next (Yikes there is more!) I went to work as a training program designer for Smith-Kline Beecham Clinical Laboratories (3 years), and after that, worked again as a trainer and training program designer for Lockheed Martin. (10+ years) Finally, I retired in 2010! Whew - that was alot of work.
I am a single mom of two adult children, and I have one grandchild.
I started quilting in 2010 when my sister and I decided to go to a quilting class. I have been enjoying this pastime ever since.
