drat - tht is just my way. LOL
Hi Tina, yes it has been raining heaps in Cairns! Did you end up getting much of the rain yourself? I've actually been here in Townsville for a bit over a week now waiting for my youngest daughter Chrissy to have her first baby. She's must be pretty close now as she is already a few days overdue. She's all set to have a home birth. My other daughter Katie is here to be with her also. Chrissy had been at both her births. Did you see on the news last week where a tornado went through some of the suburbs here in Townsville? I missed it where I was staying, a little bit out of town, but my brother and my s-i-l both copped it bad where they were living. My brother said it started to roar so loud all of a sudden that he thought the local dam had busted. The wind only lasted 10minutes but it caused a heck of a mess! How are you going with the pieces you are making for the markets? I think they are a great idea! Thanks for thinking of me, Paula
hi - come play with us in the bright spring floral Jacobs Ladder swap - so fun and bright florals are so happy to sew with!
I found a pattern that is similiar to the arrow one. Its in Moda Bake shop done by Melissa Cory. She calls her pattern "On the Go". I don't know if this helps any but I decided to pass it on. Coleen
Thank you so much for responding to my message. I will kind of go along with it. I bought quite a few fat quarters and would like to use them in a quilt so I figure since this is a sampler quilt I will use those. I bought the backing and the border fabric, I think!!! LOL Things always change with us quilters!!! Piece and blessings, Vicki
I am so glad that you are taking over the BOM2012. I was going to offer but first I asked if the other gal was going to come back. I am glad that you undertook this as my mom is dying and I don't know how busy I will be with that. You are a great quilter and it will be a pleasure to work under your tutalage. Welcome as our leader here at M*QC!! We will have lots and lots of fun. Now, are the measurements for the yardage still the same? Piece and blessings, Vicki
yes, I am doing the block of the month with Craftsy. These were easy to do. I am looking forward to what Feb will be like. I am not using scraps---I bought a large fat quarter bundle of fabric. I have this annoying habit of not liking things that don't match. I know it is nuts---but I can't help myself.
You have made so many wonderful things. I love your bags. Your butterfly quilt is very adorable. Love the pics of the babies---love the babies!!
Hi there, I'm Polly (or Paula)! I came across you with one of the post a couple of days ago and left you a message. I'm from Cairns! I'm doing a "quilt as you go" quilt atm under supervision of staff at a local quilt shop. My first quilt! I finally got to see today how the panels are joined together and only have two halves to join together now! Quilt as you go saves getting it professionally quilted or hand quilting it because i used the stitch in the ditch method with each of the 4 panel. It's different to the tutorials I have seen on Utube! Have you seen how it done? How do you quilt your quilts? I was wondering if any in Australia take advantage of the daily deal on MSQC or does the postage make it not worth it? Thanks for your welcome! Paula
Hi fellow newie, I would love to join your Aussie quilters group. I am from Geelong and at the moment we are enjoying the same wonderful weather as you normally have. But wait an hour or so and that could change - we sometimes have all seasons in the one day down here.
