    Your welcome, well deserved!

I thought DSM stood for domestic sewing machine, lol. But I could be wrong. So many times I come across abbreviations and wonder why I don't know what they are. I really like the quilting on yours and I was curious if you did your quilting on DSM or had a long arm. I've been considering a Brother 1500 straight stitch machine, they have a larger harp space, and they're not too badly priced. I'm very much a beginner yet.

I found the little avatar on FB, so I saved his picture. He's just the cutest thing.

I'm south of the little town of Conneaut, in Monroe township. I could almost through a stone and hit the PA state line. I'm considering the one if Cleveland. I wouldn't mind seeing Bonnie Hunter either! This forum is so much fun! But sometimes I spend more time on here than sewing, lol.

    Enjoy that coffee!

I must tell you I posted this message on my own site! LMBO (laughing my butt off)

Thanks for the comment on my Great Grandmother's quilt! I love it too! I think the wonderful fabrics in it is what makes me partial to the 30's reproduction fabrics. They are so colorful and cheery.

Thanks for all the kind comments on my quilts. I'm new to fmq-ing so I'm starting out by following drawn templates. Eventually, I'll be able to quilt without the drawings, I hope.

Did you see todays daily deal? It's red and black! Has musical stuff on it if that interests you. Thanks for the compliment...I had fun making that quilt.
  5. I saw several variations of the snake quilt.....google snake quilt images.....but this is the one I based it off of...http://www.trianglesonaroll.com/snakes.aspx The hardest part was picking out fabric that the snakes would stand out against. HST are all it is and I combined the tumbler and hex template for the snake heads and then rounded the edges a bit and cut out eyes and tongues free handed and just left the edges raw, ironed them down and zig zagged for safe keeping. It really was simple after I chose the fabric.......well except for squaring all those HST's.... .; )

Thanks for the nice comments on my colorful quilt. It is truly one of my favorites. It has too many fabrics in it to count, which I like. I'd never be able to make one like it, that's for sure!

Just me again. Good Morning. I am a big NASCAR fan also, though I have never been to a race. And now I can't even watch them on tv. We no longer get the fox station and I don't have a dish or direct tv, so I can't watch espn. I get so frustrated with NASCAR. To keep up with the races I now have to go to NASCAR.com and read lap-by-lap. Someday I would love to go to a race.
I think the closest track to me is Kansas. DH hates crowds so it will be hard to get him to go.
    Have a wonderful day.
