Hi Sherri, I was just thinking about you yesterday and realizing I should be in touch. We've been busy with life. Nothing too exciting other
than we celebrated our 50th Wedding anniversary early in July. Our Daughter from Dallas area was here for awhile. Then it just got HOT
didn't it? We whined about too much rain then too much sun. Never satisfied haha I haven't been doing any sewing for the last month.
Have lots of projects started but can't get my sewing mojo going. Hopefully this week.
Sounds like you've been plenty busy with work and your new machine. I know you are having fun with it and enjoying working at the
store on Saturdays. I see you have a new grandchild! Congrats. I do wonder about your daughter in California and your youngest.
Hope they are both doing ok. Good to hear from you! xoxox

Thanks for the nice comment on the table runner!
  3. Chopper looks like a real winner in my book! Dottie welcomes me home every day, she shows unconditional love. Her social skills need work and we kennel as well when stangers come to our home. It takes Dottie a while to warm up to people. But, she has been a miracle with my menopause and I wouldn't give her up for the world!

Chopper is actually my son's dog but he is unable to have pets where he lives so we have him. The problem with that is I don't think we will be able to let go of him now. Chopper is a rescue dog also. He is such a friendly and loving dog now. When my son first got him I was afraid of him because he had a mean bark and would attack anyone so he had to be put in a kennel until he learned that not everyone was out to hurt him. His ears were cropped before he was rescued and that makes him look like a pit bull. Most think he's a pit but he isn't. He is such a joy to have now that the kids are all grown and have families of there own, its nice to come home to him. Wouldn't trade him for the world.

Thank you. He is an Argentine dogo. What breed is yours?

Hi and thanks for the lovely comment on my quilt. I had seen a picture of it, but didn't know the name at the time I made it. But now I know it's called the Carpenters Star. Here's a link http://www.maryquilts.com/wp-content...-Star-rev1.pdf If I do another one, I'll know to change up the colors a little and it'll be dimensional.

Thank you so much. I think I actually got it off of Facebook somewhere! I hadn't thought of it as a quilt option but wouldn't it make a fantastic focal point for a Quilt Of Valor?? Thanks for the idea!

It is so nice to meet someone else who loves bully breeds. My Tag is funny. As big and scary looking as he is, he has never growled in anger. Never got mad, not much of a protector. Like I said, the world is his toy. When someone comes over, he has to grab the nearest toy or bone and parade it around until he is told how pretty he is or how pretty his toy is. He's a simpleton. Macie on the other hand is more standoffish with people. She circles them and comes in closer like she is herding them. You have to earn her trust. She is always on guard and I mean always. She's highly intelligent and thinks things through. She sets up the big guy all the time.

Anyhow, I can bore you to death talking about bully breeds. They are my passion. You're a great person for giving bullies a chance. People misunderstand them and fear them. People can be so ignorant.

Forgot to add, they are rescue dogs from Texas. I adopted them 3 years ago. The came up with a wonderful transport that makes bi-weekly trips up north. Can't imagine my life without them. The big guy (Tag is his name) just had surgery for a torn ACL 2 weeks ago.
