Well I liked it Where I live it's not that common to buy fabrics already "ready" such as charm packs, jelly rolls roger and stuff like that, that's why I always think people match fabrics for every quilt it's with Jenny's tutorials that I'm realizing this difference! Anyway I loved your quilts and I was pleased to leave a lot of comments
Got your message...Thanks for the head's up! Huggers, Ruby
Thank you for the nice comment on my Christmas quilt!
Sorry i didn't get back to you sooner, I didn't get the notifications for some reason. Yes, I use pins and lots of them lol. I don't think a glue gun would work (except for what she used it for, the sash around it, which I did too). You'd still need to hold the fabric in place etc and you really use the pin to fold the fabric around it, which would be hard with the gun. I just think it would get messy! Also I'm not sure it's a good idea to use a hot glue gun at all, it might melt the ball? I use one that's not scalding hot. I really recommend you try them the way she did in the video, they are sooooo easy to make. Remember the thimble though, or your fingers will hate you when trying to push oins through layers of fabric hehe.
Thank you for the nice comment on my quilt!
hey kiddo, keep those cheaters handy. LOL. I can't see the keyboard well without them. LOL. Big hugs to YOU.
Thank you so much for liking my quilts. The one with many colorful pieces (no name yet) is on my list to finish this summer. It's near the top of the list so maybe this month it will be done!
I think you'll find it works well for quilting! Good luck and have fun.
Hi Patrice, I've tried using regular thread but embroidery thread seems to work the best! When the machine is moving as quickly as it does to embroider regular thread has a tendancy to break. Leah Day uses Isacord thread. I've purchased it from her and it works well too. It seems to be the same weight as embroidery thread from what I can tell. It comes in white, cream and also black (I think.) I also like the fact that I don't run out of bobbin thread as quickly when using embroidery thread.
Just looked at your albums and must say, I love what you do with fabric. Absolutely stunning.
