    hi Laura
yes all the directions are the same - you make the same stripsets and HSTs as we made in the spring swap - just assemble the blocks reversed direction. fast and easy peasy - just the way i like it!! YAY!!!

    hi
i think for this swap lets keep them all matching, the resulting quilt will be plenty scrappy and very pretty and bright and happy happy
  6. Thank you. I tend to be a M*QC nerd. I check the site before I go to bed and in the morning before I go to work and then throughout the day if I'm looking for updates. :-) I'm in search now for flower fabric. I love your block with all the flowers matching. I've done a Jacob's before using a charm pack and so the little squares were different then the large ones. Will that be ok. I did see where you said make them as if I were receiving them. :-) Thank you for your help with getting me started.

  8. Hi Vicki, Friends are always welcome. I have not seen or heard from the bom leader for awhile. I keep checking daily. I'm pretty sure is is going to continue with it. I'm hoping once she gets caught up, it will be easier for her. I remember she was having some type of family issues, but I don't know about now.
Guess I should go get ready for work.
    Have a blessed day today.
    Laura

    Hi Laura,
I am originally from the "gold country" by Georgetown, CA. just 30 minutes from Auburn. How I miss the foothills of the Sierras. We know where Oroville is---the firemen used to go up there for their Memorial Weekend retreats---they took 4 days to go up and unwind for the year. Probably play havoc for everyone as they can be a noisy lot!! My hubby wouldn't go as he felt there wasn't enough time with the family which I admired!!
I am new to the 2012 BOM and was wondering about the leader. Does anyone know if this is going to continue? I would like to be part of it, if it is going to continue.
Would you like to be friends? It would be nice to have a few friends from "back home". I am adding you and if you want me to delete you just say the word and I will. Thanks.
    Piece and blessings,
    Vicki

My quilt wasn't an x's and o's. It's based on a block I saw a picture of and just did it. It's basically a 9 patch layout. The center square being a solid and the other 8 are half square triangles. I flipped every other blocks layout so the white spaces met, which sort of gave it the o shape.

I did an image of the block. Hope that helps. I don't even know what the block is really called.
