hi how are the 3dudes swap blocks coming along?? any questions? check in with the group and say hi and post a picture of your progress - we love that! hugs, suzi
BASIC INSTRUCTIONS for the swap blocks: the strips MUST be 2.5 " wide by width of fabric. Sew strip 1 to strip 2 then sew to strip 3 then to strip 4 then to strip 5 which is the same fabric as strip 1. PRESS and cut four squares - each 10.25". sew 2 of the squares right sides together with the bottom vertical strips and the top one horizontal strips. sew all the way around with an exact 1/4" seam. press again. cut corner to corner to make 4 triangles. press these open. lay them out so they create the desired pattern - the smaller triange points will be in the center and then matching fabic will be opposing each other. sew these together 2 - post a picture of your first block and let me know so i can make sure it is right. then you will repeat these same steps again with the other two squares and then with the rest of your strips . to create a total of 27 finished blocks. ok ....
YAY!!! that will make it so special to have you joining us for the swap!! please check on the groups page and read thru the threads - ask questions and have fun!!
