    I am just in the middle of quilting the fleece, back to the front.
    I had to undo some of it as there was too much bulk in the middle (I started from the centre and am working out) Cannot wait to finish to now - so impatient. Lol

    Hello Kathryn. With the rag quilt you really do need to run it through the wash after it is done. The picture you commented on was after it ran through the wash. The edges looked so much better then. I just threw it in with a load I was doing, and also ran it through the dryer.

    If the mother is really worried about harsh detergents and the baby she will most likely re-wash it with dreft or whatever anyway.
