I'm not sure where/how to answers questions from my album, so I'm leaving my reply here. Yes, the 1st one is a 9 patch that I bordered. As far as the fence rail is concerned, I'm not sure but I think they were 9". Thank you for your kind comments. : )
Hi JCY........haha......yes there really is a squirrel in the tree. Both of our dogs love chasing squirrels out of the yard. Zoe will stare up in the tree for a while after chasing one. They aren't hunting dogs just fun fur babies.
Thanks for liking my Hugs & Kisses quilt. I have the same problem...all my baby quilts are too girly, according to my husband. So I've got to get busy on some boy quilts. 1 Thanks JCY thanked for this post
Thanks JCY for your kind words about my Dresden Flower Garden quilt. It was a lot of fun to make and is probably one of my favorite quilts...so far. 1 Thanks JCY thanked for this post
My husband designed the quilt pattern in the quilt that you liked! Thanks so much for liking my quilt. I appreciate your note so much! 1 Thanks JCY thanked for this post
JCY Thanks for your comments about my smile. I am doing MUCH better now and living a more "mindful" life! That pic of me was taken at a happier time to be sure. Sorry it took me so long to reply (if I didn't already? memory is soooo bad lately!) You are sweet to mention it! xox 1 Thanks JCY thanked for this post
I think your sewing/work area is the most complete & organized of any I've seen. I wish I had all your space. It must be so enjoyable to make beautiful quilts in such an environment. I also wax my ext. table, but I also use the Supreme Slider. I held off a long time buying the slider, but it really has made my quilting life easier. I was glad to learn your fabrics are protected. I keep mine in plastic drawer cabinets. I cut poster board to line the front of the drawers to protect from the light. Happy Quilting! JCY 1 Thanks Sewbee thanked for this post
Hey JCY! Thanks so much for the kind comments on my sewing area and quilts! I am thrilled with the sewing space I have and don't want to ever move! To answer a couple of your questions, yes I do polish my SewSteady extension table before FMQ. I used to use a Super Slide but now just use the surface of my extension table. I spray my table lightly with a can of Sullivans Silicone Spray for Sewing. AND, yes I do try to keep my fabric protected from prolonged sunlight and dust. I bought a couple cheap fabric shower curtains and used velcro to fasten them to the tops of my fabric cabinets. They work great! 1 Thanks JCY thanked for this post
Awwww...thanks! That pic was taken quite some time ago when I was in a very happy place and with great friends camping. I just came back to work last week after my last depressive episode but things are definitely much better now. I'm in a program that's teaching me to live in the NOW and it's working very well for me. I'm also medicated though so not sure if that's part of it! Thanks for your message...you're a doll. What threads do I use to FMQ?? Lots of different types. The wall-hanging was an online class I took on Craftsy.com and the instructor encouraged us to try various threads. I used some King Tut, some Sulkey and Bottom Line from Superior for the real small background fill. 1 Thanks JCY thanked for this post
