Retired in 2011. I'm married to a wonderful man who retired December, 2011. Two months after retirement he was diagnosed with cancer. It has been an ongoing battle ever since but he is a fighter and so far, so good. Also, mother of two adult sons. I'm a Grandma of 3, Aiden, age 8; Madison, age 4 and Morgan, age 2 1/2. I needed to find a hobby that would keep me busy and something I would enjoy. I have always admired those that could quilt and my DH has encouraged me to jump into the quilting world. So I am new to quilting (very new!) I have learned a lot from the forum and hope not to be too afraid to get started. Since both my grandmothers died before I was born and my mother did not quilt I thought it would be nice to make quilts that my grandchildren would have as a reminder of me.
