About Ellabella1
- Biography:
- I have lived in Edinburgh Scotland all my life. I have sewn all my life and was taught by my Granny, mum ,school the usual. I went to a quilters guild when I was young and although I learnt a lot they were very stuffy and unwelcoming so I left. I have sewn on my own since. I'm sure they are not like that now. I have recently been asked to teach a class for British army wife's who,s hubby's are on tour in Afghanistan.
I refuse to teach but have set up a group. Mainly young women who are very keen. I specialise in recycling as fabric is so expensive so the woman bring old clothes and I show them how to make baby quilts cushions etc. I love this as I fear quilting is a dying art and I'm helping keeping it alive plus it is great fun! I'm not an exceptional sewer but a good sewer and that's good enough for me
