I got the patterns from The Quilted Garden -- you can order by phone via their website -- quiltedgarden.com. I'm not sure how they stayed flat -- she gives very good instructions about cutting the top circle, the bottom circle and batting are cut 1" larger than the top. Then you use Heat and Bond Lite to attach all the cut pieces to your top fabric, pin it all together, applique the top pieces and that also quilts the whole thing. The outer edge was supposed to be scalloped to follow the curves of the trees or snowmen but I ran out of time and chose to keep them round. Bind with bias cut binding. Thanks so much - I really enjoyed making them. The snowman one took a lot longer than the tree one because of all the pieces. Have a very happy holiday!!
