I used an average thread count...I find my bedsheets at a local thift store and they work just fine. For me it is finding the best match to my color scheme/ quilt top.

Hi Angie. I used all old denim work jeans & shirts. All 100% cotton, but no stretch denim. I think stretch denim just might distort a little too much. It may not fray very well either if you're doing a rag type quilt. Maybe it would work if you were doing a quilt as you go project.
I don't really know. You could try a test block or 2 just to see. I didn't have any so.... but I like using/ re-using whatever I can.
    Experimenting is fun too....happy quiltling!

Hi Angie! Thanks for the nice comment on my quilts. Here is the link for the charity quilts http://www.quiltsforkids.org/patterns/request/

The kits are the same pattern but with different cute fabric. It really goes together fast and easy. They have certain "rules" for the project so check out their site for info.

    Your quilts are beautiful!
    Take care - Patti

Hey,Angie. I used a old oil cloth tablecloth from the thift store and sewed a bit of the cloth around the cuff. Easey peasy! Thanks for the visit to my alubum.

Hey there . There is a tutoral on them on the quilting tutorial site under projects. Very easy and fun to personalize them.
IE : Material featuring coffee for my sisterinlaw.
I will post a picture of them when I get my camera working. I have 4 done already. 6 more to go.

Good job on the juggling. I have 4 days left of vacation and got my squares in the mail today for the block exchange. Have the bug as well so I will continue working on my quilt using the "summer in the park" quilt tutoral as my guide after catching up on the usual house chores. Hmmm...do you ever really catchup? lol I haven't tried the binding tool. So new to the quilting scene that I have only needed to bind one quilt ( done more rag quilts) but I used the hand binding turtoral and it worked real well for me. All the best....

I have one week left for vacation and am working on my blocks. Still new to quilting so not going that smoothly. A few undos BUT I will overcome. After the first guilt I said never again but never say never. Once this quilting bug grabs you! Love the quilt you posted Aug. 5.
