  1. Hi Bec Thanks so much for the links, they're great! Will visit the fabric shop this weekend to get some of their lovely fabrics. Can't wait to get started!

Ailral, I'm not sure which pin cushion you were talking about. The wildflower pin cushion is from http://www.bhg.com/crafts/sewing/wil...er-pincushion/ and it is quite big.

Hi Ailral! Thanks! I didn't have a pattern for my thread catcher. I just took a plastic Folgers coffee container and measured it, allowing for seams. It was trial and error so I have no definite directions. I ended up making the sides too short and the can was sticking above the material, so I had to add a piece of non-quilted fabric onto the bottom. My initial plan was to have a circle of material to sew onto the bottom, but ended up adding a straight piece and making a drawstring bottom. That way I could use the drawstring to tie it as much as I needed to get the container to nest into the pocket as low as I wanted. I included a ruffle in the seam when I added the piece on the bottom to cover up my goof.

The pin cushion is from the following link, but I made it a rectangle instead of a square.
